Bless Me Ultima Chapter XIV Outline Paraphrase: There is a blizzard, so the girls stay home from school. Unfortunate- ly it was the girls who were going to put on the play about the birth of Christ. The play was disastrous with Horse as the virgin, and Abel peeing on the stage. After everybody left, Antonio heads home. On his way home he sees Tenterio and Narciso fighting. Tenterio yells threats towards Ultima since another one of his three daughters is dying. Narciso heads towards the Marez's home to warn them, but stops at Rosie's to get Anthony to help. Unfortunately Andrew is deeply waded in sin with a whore, so he dismissed Narciso with not much of a thought. Antonio remembers his dream when Andrew said he wouldn't enter Rosie's until Antonio lost his innocence, and he remembers all the bad things that have happened, and wonders which one was the loss of his innocence. Narciso set on warning Marez heads towards their home, but is cut off by Tenterio who shoots him, and flees when he spots Antonio. Narciso asks Antonio to pray for him. When Antonio finally does get home, and explains what happens (sort of) he has a fever and is put to bed. In bed he has a dream about God, and how he was caught by his own thoughts. He wants a God who is all forgiving, but also wants one who is vengeful. His final thought in his dream was that of the three evil daughters performing witchcraft. Techniques: · Whether his dream was a hulucination of his fever, or it was actually foreshadowing. His dream showed that his brother's were already damned. · When Naciso asked the whore house for Marez, the woman at the door asked which one. So we can assume she was referring to Antonio's father. I don't know what this means, except it's bad.
